On Monday, September 21, 2026, the border bridge over the Oder between Starý Bohumín and Poland's Chałupki, on road II/471, closed for a complete rebuild. Czech and Polish crews are working simultaneously on their respective sides; the Czech portion, costing just under CZK 28.7 million, is being carried out by Hroší stavby Morava. The closure is set to last a full 11 months, until the end of August 2027.
